SUMMARY:Track Event LOL Spring Track Event (PDX)
DESCRIPTION:Sorry–we are full.  If you’d like to get on a Waitlist please continue to the registration website.  Your credit card WILL NOT be charged unless you check in and get on track. \nGetting on a waitlist is a good idea.  We often have last-minute cancellations.  So if you are interested\, scroll down and click “continue”.  I’ll let you know if we can get you on track. \nKathy\n612-839-7905 \nPDX (Performance Driving Experience)\nPresented by Land O’ Lakes Region\, SCCA\nSunday\, April th at Dakota County Technical College \n This is your opportunity to discover the joys of Performance Driving! \n(Scroll down and click “Continue” on each page to complete your registration) \nA PDX event provides the unique opportunity to bring your car on a real track. \nDo you want to improve your driving skills? Come for instruction from trained instructors\, who happen to be racecar drivers themselves. \nAnd if you just like cars\, go ahead and register.  We’ll get you started as a volunteer.  One BIG benefit is you can take your car on track in the afternoon session\, and even have an instructor ride along (no cost!)  So scroll down and click continue to register as a volunteer.  And if you want to drive\, read on and also continue. \nFee:  SCCA members:  $150; Non-members are $165 (including weekend membership) \nYou get a full day on the track\, classroom and instructor ride-along (advanced drivers can request this but it’s not required) \nDo you want to learn how to better control your car at a higher rate of speed than is legal on public roads? Here’s your opportunity to go fast and not worry about getting a ticket in a safe environment. Plus you WILL become a better driver! \nAll you need to participate in a PDX event is a registered streetcar\, valid drivers license\, and a helmet (and we have loaners if you need one). \nFirst and foremost\, a PDX event is about you driving your car. Our primary focus is the safety of you and your car. Getting you as much seat time as possible with instruction is our next goal\, that way you can become more comfortable behind the wheel of your car at speed. \nShould I do anything before I arrive at a Track Day (PDX)? \nCar and Driver magazine has recently published an excellent guide to preparing for a track day: How To: Go to a Track Day – Feature \nIf you are not sure your car is ready for the use it will see on a racetrack\, we suggest you take your vehicle to a technician who is skilled enough to evaluate your vehicle for track use. You should also plan to bring appropriate “Gear” to the PDX event. Items like extra oil\, coolant\, tire pressure guage\, sunscreen\, umbrella\, hat\, camera\, storage bin or bag\, lawn chair\, etc. \nIn addition to getting you and your vehicle prepared for the Track Day (PDX) event\, before you arrive at the track\, please review the other “Track Day” related pages on this website.

SUMMARY:Track Day LOL Fall PDX 2017
DESCRIPTION:PDX (Performance Driving Experience)\nPresented by Land O’ Lakes Region\, SCCA\nSaturday\, October 8th at Dakota County Technical College \nThis is your opportunity to discover the joys of Performance Driving! \nA PDX event provides the unique opportunity to bring your car on a real track. \nDo you want to improve your driving skills? Come for instruction from trained instructors\, who happen to be race car drivers themselves. Items like extra oil\, coolant\, tire pressure gauge\, sunscreen\, umbrella\, hat\, camera\, storage bin or bag\, lawn chair\, etc.

SUMMARY:Road Racing LOL Jack Pines Dbl Divisional 2017
DESCRIPTION:Jack Pine Sprints Labor Day Classic\nDouble Divisional RunOffs Qualifier\nPresented by Land O’ Lakes Region\, SCCA\nSeptember 2-3\, 2017  At Brainerd International Raceway \nFriday Night Bar-B-Q sponsored by VSCR (Vintage and LOL) open to everyone. Meet at the hospitality tent at 6pm;  Be sure to let us know if you’ll be joining us when you fill out the registration form. \nSaturday night Pizza Dinner provided  for Workers\, Drivers and up to two crew members. (Would you like to sponsor Saturday evening dinner?   Call Kathy Gillen at 763-241-8010) \nPlease sign up for extra crew meals in the registration form so we know what to order \nRacing fees: \nThe Race Chair looks at the expenses and puts together a budget.  I also look at what other regions within our division are charging. \nWe are consistently lower than any other region\, and you don’t have to drive 8 hours to race!  Our rates have increased across the board and the entry fees haven’t kept up. (Ok they would if we had over 100 drivers). \nIt’s critical that we break even.  And we are taking a risk—Fees are based on 77 drivers\, but we often have between 55-75 so we still have a strong chance of losing money. \nTell call your friends and get everyone involved.  Enough turnout will allow us to cut fees for the next event. \nDriver fee:  $435 for both days; $295 for 1 day \nAdditional class Sat OR Sun:  $175 \nAdditional class both days:  $175  (yes\, it’s the same price if you run 1\,2\, or 5 additional classes. Take advantage of it now!) \nGo to http://scca-racing.com/road-racing-mn/details-jack-pine-sprints/ \nClick here for Supps  and the Schedule \nTech Tips \nSchedule is subject to change
