SUMMARY:2018 SCCA Tire Rack Solo Nationals
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Autocross National Championship – known as “Solo Nationals” – is where more than 1\,200 autocrossers come from across the country to compete and meet in one of the largest motorsports gatherings on the planet and the premier SCCA® autocross competition and social event of the year. \nTo crown a national champion in each class\, drivers get three runs each on two different courses with the fastest times from each course combined for the official results. This magnitude of drivers and runs takes four days to complete with half of the drivers running on Tuesday/Wednesday of the week and the other half running Thursday/Friday. Along the way drivers\, friends\, and crew enjoy a welcome party\, tailgating late into the night a practice course and two awards banquets. \nFor the autocrosser serious about speed or socializing\, the SCCA Solo Nationals is the ultimate destination. \nMost recently Solo Nationals calls Lincoln\, Nebraska home\, but it has more than forty-five years of history and multiple locations where many have come to hang out with fellow autocrossers and compete for a coveted “jacket” which signifies a national champion.

Please be prompt! Showing up after that won’t allow you time to walk the course. Drivers not familiar with the course often get lost and slow the event down which isn’t fair to others. \nEntry Fees:\n$33 for Annual SCCA member Early Registration (closes two days before event at midnight)\n$38 for Annual SCCA member Late registration\n$48 for Non-member Registration (included Weekend Membership) \n  \nAre you new?  During this registration you’ll be asked for a car class. Don’t worry\, we have a couple worksheets to help you determine your car class\, reviewing these will help you class your car.  We offer a Novice Class for entrants in their first year\,  while registering place Novice (N) in the “Class” field\, then the base class in the “PAX” field\, and a number.  If you still do not know what class your car is supposed to be in\, then select “I Don’t Know” in the class list and we will help you in registration. \n  \nTentative Run/Work Order: \nRunning Heats 1 and 3 —- Working Heats 2 and/or 4:\nPro\, T\, STF\, STS\, STX\, STR\, STU\, CAM-T\, CAM-C\, CAM-S\, HCS\, HCR (including Ladies versions of these classes). \nRunning Heats 2 and 4 —- Working Heats 1 and/or 3:\nSS\, AS\, BS\, CS\, DS\, ES\, FS\, GS\, HS\, SSR\, SM\, SMF\, SSM\, ASP\, BSP\, CSP\, DSP\, ESP\, FSP\, CP\, DP\, EP\, FP\, XP\, AM\, BM\, CM\, DM\, FM\, JA\, JB\, JC\, KM (including Ladies versions of these classes). \nNote: Novice Class drivers run with their standard class (ie. N-STX would run & work with STX).  Also\, Run/Work order is subject to change\, in order to balance the heats.  Large classes will not normally be moved.  Any changes to the Run/Work Order will be announced the day of the event. \n\n\n\nBasic Event Guidelines and Safety \n\nA valid drivers license is required in order to participate\, please bring drivers license with you to registration.  Temporary permits are allowed if parent/guardian remains present while driving.\nPlease note that our insurance doesn’t allow tippy vehicles like SUVs. Please consult the SCCA Solo Rulebook section 3.1 and the beginning of Appendix A.\nAll vehicles must pass safety inspection on the following points prior to running: working seat belts\, throttle return action\, secure battery\, no oil or antifreeze leaks\, adequate brake pedal\, tire condition\, tie-rods\, and wheel bearings.\nAll loose items\, snap-on hubcaps\, detachable fender skirts\, speaker boxes\, center caps\, and trim rings must be removed.\nClosed toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops) while driving.\nHelmets are required (list of approved certifications)\, we do have limited loaners available.  If you don’t know the rating of your helmet you can look inside for a sticker\, just may need to pull back some of the padding to locate the sticker. If you want to purchase a helmet you can look online at places like Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies.\nAll adults present in the event site (whether they are participating or not) will need to sign the waiver when they arrive on site.\nAll minors must have a signed waiver.  If there are 2 parents/legal guardians they both need to either sign this waiver while being witnessed by registration or have a notary sign this waiver (must be printed in color) stating they witnessed the signature.  If a parent/legal guardian has sole custody\, the Affidavit of Sole Custody must accompany the minor waiver. One parent/legal guardian must be onsite for the entire event.  If on a learner’s permit\, the parent can either ride along with the student or give written permission to have an instructor ride with them instead.\nThe complete SCCA Solo Rulebook is available on www.scca.com\, other local rule changes will be posted in the supplemental regulations\n\n  \nMembershipValidation \n\nWhen you register\, MotorsportReg will be verifying your SCCA membership status against the National Office’s member database. If you do not have a valid membership\, you must select the “Non-Member” option before you will be allowed to complete your registration.\nYour First Name\, Last Name\, and Member Number in MotorsportReg must match what is on your SCCA Membership Card:\n\nYou can check your MotorsportReg info by clicking the “My Account” tab\, then “Club Memberships” and editing the information under “SCCA – Milwaukee Region – Solo”\nYou can check your SCCA membership info (and edit how your name looks on your card) by logging on to scca.com\n\n\nIf you are having trouble registering due to this feature\, or if you recently joined SCCA and your membership is still pending\, please contact membership@scca.com.

SUMMARY:AutoX Milwaukee Region Solo Championship Event #5 (Tri-Pod Challenge)
DESCRIPTION:Tri-Pod Challenge – Day 1 \nDay 1 of the 9th Annual Tri-Pod Challenge which pits Wisconsin vs Minnesota vs Illinois (and now maybe Iowa and Michigan).  Each drivers claims a home region/state\, then each position fill in the top 20 on index get a point with the top driver on index receiving a bonus point.  We combine points from the two days for the to determine a winner.  The top driver from the winning region/state gets to take the traveling trophy (Helga) home and add something to it for the following year. \nThe tiebreaker will be the region/state with top index time on Day 2.  If the tying region/states did not take the top index time on Day 2\, it will defer to top index on Day 1\, then it will defer to the highest placing position on index on Day 2. \nSchedule:\n7:00 – 8:00am     Registration\n7:15 – 8:15am     Tech Inspection\n7:45 – 9:00am     Course Walking\n8:40am              Novice Course Walk\n9:00am              Drivers Meeting & 1st Heat Worker Check-in\n9:15am              First Car Off\n11:30am             Cousins Subs Onsite (purchased separately)\n5:30pm              Dinner (provided by Main Moon) \nWe typically finish up around 5:00pm \nThere will be a hard registration cut off at 8:00am on the day of the event. \n  \nTentative Run/Work Order: \nRunning Heats 1 and 3 —- Working Heats 2 and/or 4:\nSS\, AS\, BS\, CS\, DS\, ES\, FS\, GS\, HS\, SSR\, SM\, SMF\, SSM\, ASP\, BSP\, CSP\, DSP\, ESP\, FSP\, CP\, DP\, EP\, FP\, XP\, AM\, BM\, CM\, DM\, FM\, JA\, JB\, JC\, KM (including Ladies versions of these classes). \nRunning Heats 2 and 4 —- Working Heats 1 and/or 3:\nPro\, T\, STF\, STS\, STX\, STR\, STU\, CAM-T\, CAM-C\, CAM-S\, HCS\, HCR (including Ladies versions of these classes). \nNote: Novice Class drivers run with their standard class (ie. If you want to purchase a helmet you can look online at places like Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies.\nAll adults present in the event site (whether they are participating or not) will need to sign the waiver when they arrive on site.\nMinor’s must have a signed waiver which has to be printed in color.  If there are 2 parents/legal guardians they both need to either sign this waiver while being witnessed by registration or have a notary sign this waiver saying they witnessed the signature.  One parent/legal guardian must be onsite for the entire event.  If on a learner’s permit\, the parent can either ride along with the student or give written permission to have an instructor ride with them instead.\nThe complete SCCA Solo Rulebook is available on www.scca.com\, other local rule changes will be posted in the supplemental regulations\n\n  \nMembership Validation \n\nWhen you register\, MotorsportReg will be verifying your SCCA membership status against the National Office’s member database.
