DESCRIPTION:SCCA Milwaukee Region Presents \nSPRING SCAMPER ROAD RALLY – Madison\, Wisconsin \nSunday April 7\, 2019 \nJoin your fellow car enthusiasts for this 4 hour\, 100 mile time-speed-distance road rally.  You and a partner (driver and navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads west of Madison\, Wisconsin.  This is a “Tour” type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time.  Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times.  This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \nWe’ll be using the new\, state-of-the-art Richta GPS checkpoint system to record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  Once you register\, you’ll receive information on how to download a custom app to your smartphone.  You’ll keep this app open while you run the rally and it will use the GPS signal from your device to record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  Once you pass a checkpoint\, the app will automatically calculate your score for that checkpoint and display it to you!  No more waiting for the end of the rally to see how you did.  You’ll see your score on each checkpoint as you go along. \nStart and finish location:  Verona\, Wisconsin  (10 miles southwest of Madison) \nSchedule:\nCheck-in opens:  10:15 AM         First Car Off:   12:01 PM        First Car Finished:   Approx 4:00 PM \nCost:  $22.50/person\,  2 people per car is required. \nPre-registration is required for this event.  General Instructions that explain more details about how the rally works will be emailed to all registered contestants 2 weeks prior to the event. \nSound interesting?  Want further information?  Contact the rallymaster:\nJim Crittenden  at   james.a.crittenden@gmail.com

Please be prompt! Showing up after that won’t allow you time to walk the course. Drivers not familiar with the course often get lost and slow the event down which isn’t fair to others. \nEntry Fees:\n$33 for Annual SCCA member Early Registration (closes two days before event at midnight)\n$38 for Annual SCCA member Late Registration\n$48 for Non-member Registration (included Weekend Membership) \n  \nAre you new?  During this registration you’ll be asked for a car class. Don’t worry\, we have a couple worksheets to help you determine your car class\, reviewing these will help you class your car.  We offer a Novice Class for entrants in their first year\,  while registering place Novice (N) in the “Class” field\, then the base class in the “PAX” field\, and a number.  If you still do not know what class your car is supposed to be in\, then select “I Don’t Know” in the class list and we will help you in registration. \n  \nTentative Run/Work Order: \nRunning Heats 1 and 3 —- Working Heats 2 and/or 4:\nSS\, AS\, BS\, CS\, DS\, ES\, FS\, GS\, HS\, SSR\, SSC\, SM\, SMF\, SSM\, ASP\, BSP\, CSP\, DSP\, ESP\, FSP\, CP\, DP\, EP\, FP\, XP\, AM\, BM\, CM\, DM\, FM\, JA\, JB\, JC\, KM (including Ladies versions of these classes). \nRunning Heats 2 and 4 —- Working Heats 1 and/or 3:\nPro\, T\, STF\, STS\, STX\, STR\, STU\, CAM-T\, CAM-C\, CAM-S\, HCS\, HCR (including Ladies versions of these classes). \nNote: Novice Class drivers run with their standard class (ie. N-STX would run & work with STX).  Also\, Run/Work order is subject to change\, in order to balance the heats.  Large classes will not normally be moved.  Any changes to the Run/Work Order will be announced the day of the event. \n\nBasic Event Guidelines and Safety \n\nA valid drivers license is required in order to participate\, please bring drivers license with you to registration.  Temporary permits are allowed if parent/guardian remains present while driving.\nPlease note that our insurance doesn’t allow tippy vehicles like SUVs. Please consult the SCCA Solo Rulebook section 3.1 and the beginning of Appendix A.\nAll vehicles must pass safety inspection on the following points prior to running: working seat belts\, throttle return action\, secure battery\, no oil or antifreeze leaks\, adequate brake pedal\, tire condition\, tie-rods\, and wheel bearings.\nAll loose items\, snap-on hubcaps\, detachable fender skirts\, speaker boxes\, center caps\, and trim rings must be removed.\nClosed toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops) while driving.\nHelmets are required (list of approved certifications)\, we do have limited loaners available.  If you don’t know the rating of your helmet you can look inside for a sticker\, just may need to pull back some of the padding to locate the sticker. If you want to purchase a helmet you can look online at places like Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies.\nAll adults present in the event site (whether they are participating or not) will need to sign the waiver when they arrive on site.\nAll minors must have a signed waiver.  If there are 2 parents/legal guardians they both need to either sign this waiver while being witnessed by registration or have a notary sign this waiver (must be printed in color) stating they witnessed the signature.  If a parent/legal guardian has sole custody\, the Affidavit of Sole Custody must accompany the minor waiver. One parent/legal guardian must be onsite for the entire event.  If on a learner’s permit\, the parent can either ride along with the student or give written permission to have an instructor ride with them instead.\nThe complete SCCA Solo Rulebook is available on www.scca.com\, other local rule changes will be posted in the supplemental regulations\n\n  \nMembership Validation \n\nWhen you register\, MotorsportReg will be verifying your SCCA membership status against the National Office’s member database. SUMMARY:2018 SCCA Time Trials Nationals
DESCRIPTION:2018 will mark the inaugural SCCA Time Trial Nationals event. \nThe 3-day event will take place Sept. 28-30 at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green\, Kentucky\, and will open with track lapping sessions for testing\, practice\, or licensing and finish up with a point-to-point competition \nDay 2 of TT Nationals will open with 20-minute timed lapping sessions\, followed by more point-to-point events in the afternoon. The final day of TT Nationals\, NCM Motorsports Park will have both timed lapping sessions and point-to-point runs. \nThis event aims to establish SCCA as the leader in amateur Time Trials competition in the United States and generate an event format for the TT Nationals that can be adopted in whole or parts by regions for their TT events. \nCurrent partners with the SCCA for the TT Nationals are Mobil 1\, Koni\, Hawk and the NCM Motorsports Park. \nIn addition to on-track competition\, there will be comradery and plenty of extracurricular social activities. \nRegistration for the 2018 SCCA Time Trials Nationals should be open on or about April 1\, along with a finalized set of rules and schedule.
