DESCRIPTION:Tri-Pod Challenge – Day 2 \nDay 2 of the 9th Annual Tri-Pod Challenge which pits Wisconsin vs Minnesota vs Illinois (and now maybe Iowa and Michigan).  Each drivers claims a home region/state\, then each position fill in the top 20 on index get a point with the top driver on index receiving a bonus point.  We combine points from the two days for the to determine a winner.   The top driver from the winning region/state gets to take the traveling trophy (Helga) home and add something to it for the following year. \nThe tiebreaker will be the region/state with top index time on Day 2.  If the tying region/states did not take the top index time on Day 2\, it will defer to top index on Day 1\, then it will defer to the highest placing position on index on Day 2. \nSchedule: \n7:00 – 8:00am     Registration\n7:15 – 8:15am     Tech Inspection\n7:45 – 9:00am     Course Walking\n8:40am              Novice Course Walk\n9:00am              Drivers Meeting & 1st Heat Worker Check-in\n9:15am              First Car Off\n11:30am             Cousins Subs Onsite (purchased separately) \nWe typically finish running around 5:00pm with cleanup to follow. \nThere will be a hard registration cut off at 8:00am on the day of the event. Please consult the SCCA Solo Rulebook section 3.1 and the beginning of Appendix A.\nAll vehicles must pass safety inspection on the following points prior to running: working seat belts\, throttle return action\, secure battery\, no oil or antifreeze leaks\, adequate brake pedal\, tire condition\, tie-rods\, and wheel bearings.\nAll loose items\, snap-on hubcaps\, detachable fender skirts\, speaker boxes\, center caps\, and trim rings must be removed.\nClosed toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops) while driving.\nHelmets are required (list of approved certifications)\, we do have limited loaners available.  If you don’t know the rating of your helmet you can look inside for a sticker\, just may need to pull back some of the padding to locate the sticker. If you want to purchase a helmet you can look online at places like Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies.\nAll adults present in the event site (whether they are participating or not) will need to sign the waiver when they arrive on site.\nAll minors must have a signed waiver.  If there are 2 parents/legal guardians they both need to either sign this waiver while being witnessed by registration or have a notary sign this waiver (must be printed in color) stating they witnessed the signature.  If a parent/legal guardian has sole custody\, the Affidavit of Sole Custody must accompany the minor waiver. DESCRIPTION:The Learning Curve is a bit different than the average autocross event. The goal with this 2-Day Instructional Course is to get folks who are new to racing to be more comfortable with the process and nuances so they can be more focused on racing and having fun while at the race.
