SUMMARY:2021 Virtual Spring Training
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nHello\, and thank you for your interest in our first ever CenDiv virtual Spring Training. We thank you for taking time out of your Saturday to join us. While this isn’t how we wanted to get together\, as the SCCA National Convention showed\, it can be fun and informative-just different. \nWe will begin on Saturday\, March 20 at 8:00AM\, with a general session for everyone\, that will include updates from us\, an update on 2022 Spring Training from Paula Spencer\, and a presentation from Chris Robbins from the national staff. \nAround 9:30ish (not time certain)\, we will separate into different “rooms”: F&C\, Registration\, Tech\, Timing & Scoring\, Stewards\, Solo (including a solo safety steward training from Aruch)\, and Track Days/Trials. The CenDiv\, Inc. board meeting (open to all) will begin at Noon in it’s own room. If there is a desire for any more rooms\, please let Kevin know at kcoulter@comcast.net by Wednesday night. Note that you can change what room you are in whenever you would like. We anticipate most sessions will be done by Noon. \nThe Zoom connection information is at the end of this message. If you have not installed Zoom before\, downloads for almost any device are available at https://zoom.us/download. If you have Zoom installed already\, please be sure it is the latest version by updating apps on your device\, or\, if the PC version\, start Zoom\, click on your initials in the upper right hand corner\, and then select Check for Updates. Being current is needed to join rooms. To pick or change a room\, on the bottom of your Zoom window\, is a button labelled “Breakout rooms”. Go there\, and pick the room you want. DESCRIPTION:Announcement from the Autocross Chair – April 20\, 2020 \nI regret to inform you that we will be cancelling our Season Kickoff Autocross Test-n-Tune #1 event\, which was scheduled for May 3 at Brady Street Stadium in Davenport\, IA. \nFollowing discussion with our contact at Davenport Community Schools\, and discussion amongst the GRR Autocross Committee\, we simply do not have enough confidence that social distancing restrictions will be lifted in time to allow the event to proceed safely. In order to maintain a positive relationship with the community\, our venue owners\, and our membership\, we feel it is not prudent to push for having this event under the current circumstances. \nFor those who have registered online\, your account has not been charged for the event\, and no further action will be needed. \nAt the moment\, we are still planning to go ahead with the rest of our scheduled 2020 Autocross season. A Road Racer can get a 12 month annual tech inspection sticker for their racecar from the Chief Technical Inspector. This sticker speeds up the tech process at all SCCA Road Racing events.\nCenDiv Championship stickers are also available.\nThis event is open to all SCCA disciplines.
